Al Notarnicola Barefoot Bay, Florida Albert D. Notarnicola, longtime proprietor of 1776 Colonial Inn, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 26, 2015 in Pine Bush. He was 73. The son of the late Joseph Notarnicola and Jennie Smith Notarnicola he was born in Catskill, NY on August 31, 1942. Al is predeceased by his wife Genevieve “Tiny” Notarnicola and is further survived by his children; Lori and Adam Torchio of Pine Bush, John Scott and Pierre Pham of Los Angeles, Lori and Roy Middaugh of Slatington, PA, Greer Scott and Ondrea Sharp of Walker Valley and Jodi Notarnicola and Bart Panessa of New Paltz. Grandchildren; Rebecca Watson, Nichole Torchio, Brittaney Torchio, Darien Middaugh and Alexis Middaugh, and great grandson Logan Watson, sisters Janet Burgher and her late husband Floyd Burgher of Ocean Island, SC, Josephine Carlino and her late husband, Joe P. Carlino of Glasco, NY, brother Joe Notarnicola and his wife Phyllis of Smiths Landing, NY, brother in law Lloyd Greer of Greenfield Park and sister in laws Bunny Haskin and Mary Greer of Walker Valley. Al was an Eagle Scout for many years, a member of the Father Hardy Drum Corp., and Regional Manager for Marriot Corporation. Al recently retired in central Florida where he was known as “Pompano Al” an avid boater and fisherman instrumental in the restoration of the Sebastian Beach Project and loved singing karaoke with his friends and family. Services will be held in the privacy of his family. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to the William M.
